Answers: Introducation Business ethics and responsible leadership are now viewed as integral elements for shaping the business strategy of an organisation. The business decisions and strategies of the institutions gain success in that the same is framed keeping in focus the demands and interests of the different stakeholder groups both financial and non-financial; managerial and non-managerial and pertaining to both inside and outside the organisation. Aims and Objectives Aims The aim of the research proposal is to understand the impacts of business institutions operating in an ethical and responsible fashion on its relationship with internal and external stakeholder groups. Further, it would also focus on understanding the manner in which ethical and responsible leadership activities tend to influence the strategic decision making potential of the institutions. Objectives To understand the concept and significance of institutional and corporate ethics and also the issue of responsible leadership pertaining to business institutions. To understand and evaluate the influence of business ethics and responsible leadership activities on the strategic directions and decision making activities of the institution. To evaluate the impact of business ethics and responsible leadership on the stakeholder relationship of the business organisation. Literature Review Ethics and Responsible Leadership Institutional Ethics reflect on the development of rules and structures that help in governing the business interactions for the benefit of the people. Further, committees and sub-committees are formed that cater to the development of ethical standards in the institution(Whitney, 2015). Corporate Ethics Corporate Ethics are associated to the development of ethical guidelines that guide the business decision making activities with a view in meeting the needs of both the internal and external stakeholder groups. It focuses on the generation of collective responsibility and in creating shared value for the diverse stakeholder groups(Argenti, 2015). Individual Ethics Individual ethics are identified as the set of values that essentially guide and influence the work of individuals in an organisational setting. It reflects on the development of personal and business decisions based on individual choices, beliefs, values and personal perceptions. The organisational managers focus on rendering decisions based on the internal cultures of the business institution(Ferguson Nelson, 2012). Responsible Leadership Responsible Leadership reflects on the generation of business decisions while taking into account the interests of the different stakeholders like investors, shareholders, employees, management, suppliers, government and also other social and other business communities. Further, the business decisions are also required to be conducted with a focus on protecting the natural environment and also in protecting the rights of the workforce. Responsible leadership taken at the individual, organisational and also in the societal level are based on five dimensions identified as awareness of issues, undertaking a vision, imagination of changes to be brought about and responsibility and action needed to be undertaken thereof(Bettignies, 2014). Impact of Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business Business organisations requiring working in an ethical and responsible fashion in addressing the requirements of different interest groups operate in a sustainable fashion aiming at delivering quality products and services to customers. Further, operating in a responsible and ethical fashion also contributes in generating greater value to the stakeholders(Fernando, 2015). Conclusions The research proposal ideally reflects on the concepts of ethics from the individual, corporate and institutional standpoint and also to that of responsible leadership from the perspective of a business institution. It focuses on understanding the impacts of ethical conduct and responsible business leadership on the business and its relation to its diverse set of stakeholders both internal and external. The research is visualised to be conducted in a theoretical fashion where different theories pertaining to the aspects of business ethics and responsible business leadership would be cross examined and evaluated for gaining needed inferences in answering the research questions.
